NURU Energy Project

As part of the 2017 winning BP A+ for Energy grant titled “ Developing Global Perspectives on Gender & Energy”, CGS is partnering with the Calgary nonprofit NURU Energy and its cofounder Sameer Hajee to help our students  better comprehend the energy limitations and needs of our female counter parts in the developing world. Students will have the opportunity to work with Education Energy Kits containing NURU’s life changing technologies, currently in use in rural villages in Burundi and Rwanda. Additionally, CGS will be sponsoring two female entrepreneurs who will provide energy solutions for 200 rural families in their respective villages.
