Nicola Swanby graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy before completing her Bachelor of Education at the University of Alberta. She has taught at both Division 2 and Division 3 levels, and currently teaches Humanities as well as complementary courses focused in computer science, robotics, and creative technologies. Nicola also co-mentors the school’s first competitive robotics club. She is passionate about creating a classroom where students feel supported, engaged, and excited to learn. She brings creativity, hands-on experiences, and plenty of laughter into her classroom. Outside the classroom, you’ll probably find her snuggling with her pets, watching movies, or crafting!
