Nicola Swanby graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and then continued on to obtain her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta. Ms. Swanby has experience as a division 2 generalist and teaching complementary courses focused in computer science, coding, engineering and robotics. Outside of the classroom, Nicola co-mentors the school's first competitive robotics club. Ms. Swanby loves helping students find the fun and satisfaction in learning and overcoming challenges and she strives to bring creativity and hands-on experiences into the classroom.  In her downtime, she enjoys adventuring with her dog, Ruby, hanging out with friends, or cozying up in front of a great movie with her two cute kitties!
