Allan Gallant spent twelve years in the Canadian Air Force before moving to Calgary for his post-secondary education at the University of Calgary. His first degree is in psychology, with a specialization in neuropsychology. After several years of working in a variety of fields, including running programming at the Aerospace Museum and as a sessional instructor at Bow Valley College, he returned to the University of Calgary to obtain his Bachelor of Education degree. Mr. Gallant is currently in his tenth year at CGCS (eight of those in grade six) and he loves to watch kids take chances, make mistakes, and soar when they are discovering the world around them. His favourite quote is from Walt Whitman: “Be curious, not judgemental.”
