A graduate of Mount Royal University and the University of Calgary, Vanessa Van Nistelrooy holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Bachelor of Education in secondary education. She is a published researcher and presenter on the effects of high altitude on the body! In her time at CGCS, Ms. Van has taught as a generalist, grade 9 math and science specialist and has offered complementary classes for cosmetology, photography, DIY, robotics and coding. Holding a deep belief in collaboration and connection to the natural world, Ms. Van strives to be a responsive and innovative educator. Outside of work, Ms. Van loves reading, geeking out over Marvel films, spending time with her pets and partaking in outdoor adventures with her family.
