Amy Park
Vice Principal - School Operations
Amy Park holds a Masters in Education specializing in Educational Leadership, earned in 2013, and a Bachelor of Education, obtained in 2003, both from the University of Calgary. Prior to joining CGCS, Amy served as Vice Principal and Learning Coach with Foothills School Division. Additionally, she spent seven years with the Galileo Educational Network, where she designed professional learning for school districts throughout Alberta. As a classroom teacher, Amy taught grades 2-9 at various schools, both public and charter. During this time she was recognized with two awards, including the Governor General’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and the AMGEN Award for Science Teaching Excellence. Based on her varied experiences, Amy brings to her role a passion for instructional leadership focusing on inquiry-based learning, assessment, and inclusive education. Beyond school, Amy loves spending quality time with her family enjoying their favourite activities - camping and skiing. You can also find her running with her dog along Calgary’s pathway system. |
