Autumn Howell is a lawyer with close to 20 years of legal experience. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Laws (with distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan. While she has broad experience having worked in the law firm environment and in public companies, her primary areas of legal practice included corporate governance, corporate transactions, and commercial operations. She held positions ranging from associate to executive leadership. As a senior leader she managed various internal departments and had extensive involvement with boards of directors, corporate development, and strategy.
Autumn stepped away from practicing law allowing her time to share her experience with organizations she feels connect to. Throughout her career she was significantly involved with mentorship and development of professionals within and outside the legal profession.
Autumn’s daughter has attended CGCS since grade 4 and has personally seen the positive impact the CGCS program and environment can have. Autumn is thoroughly enjoying the spare time she now has and fills it with exercise, cooking, music, travel, spending time with friends and family and is always ready to try something new.
